Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II Arriving as Collection for Windows PC

Ahead of the newest instalment of the further expansion of the Saga’s gaming universe with Star Wars 1313, the money-making machine at LucasArts is preparing to re-release a pair of fondly remembered titles which were released “a long time ago..” – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords.

The 2003 original and 2005 sequel, both originally launched on Microsoft Windows and Xbox, will become available again in the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Collection through Amazon (or Bundle Pack through GameStop) again for Windows PC. The classic SW:KotOR was developed by Mass Effect 3 creator Bioware and the successor by Obsidian, and the much awarded role-playing pair will feature together for the first time in one edition when the bundle launches on July 17th.

Part one introduces players to a galaxy 4,000 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire and the Dark Lord Malak as the lead villain. Gamers choose a customisable character and embark on a journey to Jedi-hood visiting a number of key planets referenced in the six movie saga and its expanded stories.

The second game is set five year after the events of the first and features three fearsome Sith Lords Darth Traya, Darth Sion, and Darth Nihilus and sees the Jedi almost all wiped out.

A US price for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has been announced of $20.00 but as of yet no details of a UK and Europe release date or price.

EDIT: The bundle will be available for PC only, not Xbox 360 as previously stated.
