Cortana coming ‘soon’ to UK

Microsoft has hinted that Cortana, their voice-controlled personal assistant, is soon to be coming to the UK on Windows Phone 8.1 handsets.

For those who aren’t aware, Cortana is a voice-controlled assistant, similar to the service offered by Apple known as Siri. Cortana is a replica of the hologram from the game Halo. The voice of which is actually done by the same actress who voiced the games; so it keeps its authenticity.

The news of the service coming soon to the UK came from a tweet posted on the official Windows Phone UK’s Twitter account. No other specific details were offered but the wait for the voice-controller service shouldn’t be much longer.
