BlackBerry 10 Z10 promo material appears showing Hub, Browser and more

With the official launch drawing closer, a selection of promotional images for RIM’s new BlackBerry 10 operating system have leaked online, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.

The images all show the phone currently known as the BlackBerry Z10 in black and white; the first all-touch handset to rock the new software. Core features are shown in each slide, which presumably we’ll be seeing in advertising for the new OS when it launches on January 30th.

RIM hopes to lure customers to its new devices with a host of features including a new and improved browser, the BlackBerry Hub, the intelligent predictive keyboard, and BlackBerry Messenger with free video calling and screen sharing.

The latter is also a new addition for the current batch of BlackBerry devices, although screen sharing will of course be more beneficial if you’ve got the full-touch Z10 with its nice big screen. Screen sharing will allow BB10 users to make a video call and show each other images, web pages and more on their devices.

The BlackBerry Hub will represent everything the brand is currently popular for; a unified inbox that plays host to email, texts, BBM and social networking updates all in one place. A neat gesture is built in to the OS to access the Hub, whereby the user swipes from the left edge of the display inwards from anywhere in the OS.

From the images it also looks as though RIM will launch an official leather pouch for the Z10 which will work similarly to the classic holster that came with previous ‘Berrys, with a magnet that automatically shuts the screen off when the phone is slotted inside. The one shown in the image is pink however, so we’re hoping multiple colours will be on offer come the launch.
