Ruby to some, Amaze 4G to others – whatever you call it – this powerful number from HTC is getting closer by the day, and heading toward its October 26th release date, more snaps of this little gem have been outted.
A jewel to the HTC collection, the Ruby smartphone will debut in the United States and impress with its 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm CPU, with 1GB of RAM showing off Android with HTC Sense on a generous 4.3″ qHD display. For cam-fans there’s an impressive 8-megapixels worth of shooting potential, as well as an additional 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. For connectivity there’s Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and, of course as the alternative name suggests – 4G mobile standards.
This we already know, but from these new and more detailed shots we know a little more about the material hardware. The HTC Ruby featuring a heavily protected rubber edging, which appears to be removable. Whether this will come as part of the handset is unknown, but the second photo shows Ruby in a more natural state, and closer the the model we saw in earlier leaked photos.
The front facing camera lens, can be seen on the front as well as a metallica earpiece grill standing out in silver against the black. This as well as four buttons built into the hardware and the familiar HTC logo.
T-Mobile recently released some publicity for its recommended “Back to School” gadgets that included the HTC Ruby, which was later renamed the HTC Amaze 3G and touted for October 26th release date. Will we see the promo revised, with new name and more importantly a public launch date which is given the official nod by HTC. HTC gadgets seem to escape every week, so approved word for the Ruby can’t be far away.
