O2 looks to build on it’s Windows Phone 8 range by introducing the new Nokia Lumia 920 to its UK customer base, with the ‘coming soon’ page marker already up on its website stating a February release. So, that’ll mean some point between now and next Thursday and as a reminder of some of what Nokia and O2 have on offer we’ll give you a brief refresher on some of the Lumia 920’s vital statistics.
Nokia’s latest packs a punch with 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor, with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of memory storage. It’s 4G capable and the screen sizes up at a generous 4.5-inch WXGA LCD with a sharp 1280 x 768 resolution and the Nokia name carries the benefits of its uniquely developed PureView camera tech, allowing for attractive 8.7 megapixel shots and 720p video through a Carl Zeiss lens. The front camera allows for use of Microsoft’s Skype at 1.2 megapixels quality.
The Nokia Lumia 920 through O2 will deliver the latest revision of Microsoft’s Windows platform for mobiles – Windows Phone 8, the tiled interface of which will now be familiar to those brave enough to break away from Android or Apple’s iOS and try the third brand’s offerings. Along with stylish interface the Lumia 920 with WP8 will bring with it pre-loaded multimedia and social apps and tools such as Nokia City Lens, Smart Shoot, Nokia Drive and Nokia Music.
As mentioned, there’s unfortunately only a page marker currently over at O2.co.uk with a few details of the device but the Gadget Helpline will update our information as soon as O2 and other networks announce their prices and packages for this anticipated Nokia Lumia 920.
