Samsung has some good news to celebrate today, as it has revealed sales of its Galaxy S II model smartphone have surpassed the 5-million mark worldwide.
The Korean co. reported previously that the second coming of the Galaxy S mobile had raced past the 3-million point in only 55 days. Overtaking the previous model in the series, which took 85 days to reach those sales, the new S II has now been publically available for little over 2 and a half months.
Launched in May through over 140 retailers in 120 countries since that date, surprisingly the United States are yet to begin selling their version of Sammy’s Android-packing dual-core phenomenon (which has been pictured featuring slide-out QWERTY keyboard).
Once the floodgates open and the SGH-I927 finally goes on sale Stateside (suggested to be August), we should expect the 5-million point to be swept away.
