Samsung is currently in a bragging frame of mind after last week announcing that it has shipped a whopping 5 million of its Tablet/Smartphone Android device the Samsung Galaxy Note (check out our review!) in five months, but now the company is bragging about its next big phone, the Samsung Galaxy SIII or S3.
Our old friend and industry insider Eldar Murtazin has tweeted that the forthcoming Galaxy SIII handset has already got over 10 million pre-orders by various channel partners. There’s absolutely no doubt that the S3 is one of, if not the most anticipated smartphones of the year, but this news hasn’t come from an official source and could have some flaws to it. However, with the Samsung Galaxy SII being a mega seller last year we can see the SIII being just as (if not more) popular.
Murtazin has been at the centre of the Galaxy S III rumour-mill, recently tweeting a picture of what was supposedly the forthcoming Galaxy flagship. He later confirmed that the image was a fake, but the design was very close to the finished product.
The handset itself is getting a lot of tongues wagging and people are getting very, very excited about the handset and its rumoured specs which include: a 4.8 inch display with full HD resolution, Samsung’s own 1.5GHz Quad-Core Exynos processor, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, all running off the latest version of the Android OS – Ice Cream Sandwich.
There are still no official Samsung Galaxy SIII specifications or looks at the handset, but there is a constant stream of leaked images and specs to keep us occupied until Samsung releases some official info on its next flagship Android handset.
We cannot wait for the next Galaxy phone to show us its pretty (or horrible) little face!
