It’s 2014 now, which means it’s time to crank up the old rumour mill as a new year means a whole host of new products are on the way. One of the first to get the ball rolling is a brand new Samsung Galaxy tablet, the specifications of which were leaked today by way of some AnTuTu benchmark test results.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro has been unofficially revealed, showing off what could be coming our way. The Galaxy Note Pro will come sporting a whopping 12.2-inch screen and with a strong scoring which sees the tablet rank higher than the current Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 benchmarks scores, so it’s a powerful gadget.
The big 12.2-inch display will sport an impressive 2560 x 1600 resolution which is 247 pixels per inch, and furthermore it will come sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor pumping out 2.3GHz, supported by 3GB of RAM.
An additional 32GB of storage will be included in the device plus a micro SD card slot for further memory expansion. On the back of the tablet there is a 8-megapixel camera with a decent 2.1MP camera on the front, plus Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity to round things off.
What’s more, the device will reportedly launch on the latest version of the Android operating system in the form of KitKat 4.4.2 running with the Samsung TouchWiz Nature User Interface and Samsung’s suite of applications.
With Mobile World Congress in February and CES just around the corner later this month we are expecting Samsung to announce the new tablet very soon, though last year Samsung repeatedly launched new products off the grid and before some of the major trade shows, so the Galaxy Note Pro could get its very own special event.
No pricing, release date or availability is known yet, so keep your eyes peeled for further developments as we get them.
