Samsung Galaxy S5 handset is still only just landing in users hands (and pockets) at the moment, but as the phone has officially been out for nearly a month now thoughts from Samsung are tuning towards the next Galaxy handset in the S5 range.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is rumoured to be the next in line follow-up to the S% which supersizes up the specs a bit form the flag ship handset. A South Korean newspaper has reported that the S5 Prime will be coming in June and will feature a 5.5inch screen with some hyped up specifications.
The rumoured specs of the Galaxy S5 Prime states that the handset will fit into the Phablet market of phones with its 5.5inch 2560 x 1440 resolution Quad HD screen. Inside there will be a quad-core 2.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and with 3GB of RAM to support it. It’ll also have a Adreno 420 GPU, 16-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front facing snapper, 32GB storage and Android 4.4.2 built in.
As the news leak comes from a Korea based website, they also state that the Galaxy prime will also come in two variants, with people in Korea being able to pick up a version with Samsung’s own 2.1GHz octa-core Exynos 5430 processor which will only be released in its native country.
June is all we have on a release date, but with the Smartphone Phablet market getting increasingly bigger, can Samsung really get away with another (although greatly specced) 5.5 inch smartphone.
