Friendly chat between Facebook and Skype could lead to much more, if rumours surfacing today are true about CEO Mark Zuckerberg romancing the possibility of integrating his social network with the popular chat and video call service.
Reuters reports “internal discussions” between Zuckerberg, creator of The Face Book and Skype’s own big shots which could suggest they will soon be “in a relationship” – much to the disappointment of fellow suitor Google who has also expressed an interest in coupling with Skype.
Online sources suggest a purchase of Skype could bring $1billion to the company if floated publically, but an acquisition from Facebook is speculated to raise around $4billion. In a bidding war with Google? We could see that figure skyrocket.
