Acer postpone A100 tablet release to second half of 2011

  • by

It would seem that the Acer A100 tablet has been delayed in the UK, with no reason to be found for the delay.

The 7-inch Acer A100 was set to be the first 7-inch Honeycomb tablet on the market, with Amazon listing the item previously with a price tag of £299 for the Wi-Fi model and a release date of April 20th. The April 20th release date came and went, then a new date of May 14th was set for the UK release.

Another release date has passed with no sign of the A100 anywhere, and now the item has  been completely pulled from the Amazon website, leaving no variants of the tablet available to buy.

Acer hasn’t yet made an official statement about the delay and neither have Amazon. Perhaps the tablet has been delayed so that Acer can release it preloaded with the new Honeycomb 3.1 update. Either way stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted.
