The latest news from the team over at Google Docs and Apps is that they are planning on introducing a new offline feature which will allow users to access their documents/files without having to be connected to the net.
As Google Chrome OS draws nearer, the ability to be able to use Google Apps or access your documents while you’re offline will prove to be an invaluable feature – especially if you’re using your Chrome netbook in a non-3G area.
Senior vice president of Chrome, Sundar Pichai had said during this year’s Google I/O conference that the feature will be coming this summer, although unfortunately did not make an exact commitment as to when.
Samsung and Acer “Chromebooks” are expected to arrive in shops starting next month, so it may be sooner rather than later that we see this new offline feature. We’ll have to wait and see I suppose.
