Now I’m sure we’ve all seen videos of robots completing a Rubik’s Cube, although I can safely say I’ve not seen a robot do it in 10 seconds – until now.
It is reported to be the fastest robot to ever complete a Rubik’s Cube, and was designed and built by a team of students at the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, as part of their engineering project.
If you’re interested in seeing the robot in action, which goes by the name of Ruby, make sure you check out the video below.
The robot is able to solve the puzzle in just over 10 seconds by scanning each face of the cube in real-time which aids the robot in solving the cube so quickly. There is still room for improvement though as the current record for a human to complete the Rubik’s Cube is 6.24 seconds.
