Ohhh, O2 customers in London are once agin experiencing a blackout in signal as the network is having another mysterious outage.
O2 users have taken to twitter to ask about the information and it has reevaled that several areas across London has seen an outage.Back in May there was another mass outage in London as a group of thieves broke into one of O2’s data centres in East London, stealing equipment and causing extensive damage. The damage caused has resulted in an outage of signal across areas of London, causing O2 customers to be unable to make and receive calls and text, as well as a loss of 3G data coverage.
Tech website Pocket-Lint have been in contact with O2 regarding the outage and O2 issued a statement:
“At 10 o’clock this morning we identified a connectivity issue on our network which is affecting both 2G and 3G service in parts of East London, North London, Kent and East Sussex. Customers in these areas may be experiencing difficulty in making or receiving mobile calls, texts or using data. Our engineers are working to identify the problem and resolve it as soon as possible. We apologise to those customers affected and will be updating progress regularly.”
The outage will also affect Tesco Mobile and Giff Gaff customers who both run virtually of the network signal.
We will keep you updated with any further changes.
