Nokia’s X7, the multi-touch Symbian-supporting handset (which could or could not be the final saving grace for Nokia’s native operating system) is heading to the UK’s Three network through contract or PAYG schemes.
The mobile comes with a 4-inch AMOLED display with a super-tough Gorilla Glass coating, 8-megapixel camera, full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Nokia X7 also features a portable USB system, allowing connection to a hard drive or other USB storage device while on the go.
Preceding Nokia’s first efforts in its “special partnership” with Microsoft on the Windows Phone 7 platform, the X7 with Nokia’s own Symbian OS will become available on £35-per-month contracts (5000 texts, 2000 minutes, “All-you-can-eat” internet) with a lengthy two years on the Three service – but for your commitment the handset does come free-of-charge (other schemes available on the website).
Alternatively, the handset will set you back a steep £380 on a Pay As You Go tariff.
