Amazon’s unrelenting quest for web dominance has recently resulted in them offering Unlimited Cloud Storage to customers, presumably in an attempt to rival Apple’s iCloud.
Those who subscribe to Amazon Cloud Player will now have the option to have unlimited music storage – provided you’re paying $20 or more per month for your Cloud Storage plan.
Subscribe to the service and any music or mp3 files that you upload won’t make a dent in your Cloud Storage allowance – giving you more room for other file types such as videos and spreadsheets!
There are two ways of getting unlimited Cloud Storage with Amazon: subscribe $20 per month for 20GB of storage, or get the upgrade when you purchase a full album with Amazon MP3.
Once your data is uploaded to the cloud, you can stream it to a PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet thanks to the Cloud Player app.
This move puts Amazon in direct competition with both Apple’s iCloud and Google’s Music Beta service. Which will take the crown as top cloud storage provider though? Our bet is on Amazon.
