With an almost complete build of Windows Phone 7’s “Mango” update said to be floating around, Microsoft have decided to let us get a closer look at one of the mobile operating system’s major new features – Twitter integration.
Program Manager of Communications on the WP7 project, Stuart Bottom, details how the social notifications, LinkedIn and Twitter features will be included and how the feed will work and look.
In the video, Bottom talks about filtering, as things “get noisy” when you have a lot of feeds incoming all at once. Your feed can now be broken down into four easy-to-manage sections: “Windows Live”, “Facebook”, “LinkedIn” and of course, “Twitter” with real-time updates. Notification alerts will appear on the “Me” tile and with one swipe you’ll be taken to a section detailing who’s said what where – as it relates to your posts and uploaded content.
We’ll let the man himself tell you in full:
Don’t go too excited if your a tablet owner, eagerly looking forward to the much-anticipated OS to drop on your platform – Microsoft says no go to Mango on slates!
