Nissan GTR controlled by Android smartphone

  • by

Have you ever wanted a Nissan GTR of your own but cannot find £60-£70 thousand lying around? Well you could be in luck as a company called Blue Drone are looking at releasing a tiny replica of the supercar that can be controlled by your super… sorry smartphone.

The mini GTR will be controlled using an app from your Android device. The app will allow you to use an accelerometer to control the direction of the car but will also sport an onscreen steering wheel allowing you to control it that way.

Is this going to be the end for remote control for RC cars? Well we are not to sure and although the project is underway it is a kickstart project and the company are looking at raising $200,000 before putting the remote control racer into full production. The car will have a 30 feet range and will last up to 3 hours on 3 AAA batteries.

If this is for you and you would like to see the remote control car go into production, pledge your $59 and hope they reach the $200,000 needed!
