Adobe brings creative to Mac App Store with Photoshop Elements 9

Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 has been introduced to the Mac App Store becoming the first of Adobe’s creative software packages officially launched as an application. The photo tweaking software is up for grabs now for £54.99, allowing immersive editing including layers, and simplified photos clean up tools.

Apple’s OS X Lion was launched this week and an appearance by Adobe’s premium photo software is well-timed to coincide with the operating systems debut on Mac. Elements 9 brings an affordable alternative to the full-fat Photoshop – including many of big bro’s key features with “one-step fixes” and 3rd party add-on support for creating some pretty cool effects.

The Photoshop Elements 9 app has been created to work harmoniously and also as a step beyond Mac’s native iPhoto software, which tends to be a little basic. Adobe’s first foray onto Apple is great news and will offer greater diversity and value for us creative types!
