Apple device owners who use cloud storage service Dropbox can now enjoy a few added bonuses on top of the usual data hosting and sharing features by upgrading to newly updated version 1.5 for iOS 4 and above on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Dropbox is an internet based warehouse of sorts, that lets you upload and store photos, videos and documents that might otherwise clog up for gadget’s valuable memory and keeps them safe and easily accessible also allowing you to link share to your files, eliminating the need to embed heavyweight attachments to your emails. Offline viewing is also available for “favourite” files and you can set up folders and organise your content much as you would your own desktop or home screen. Dropbox also has social links to Facebook meaning sharing snaps with mates becomes even easier.
The app update to Dropbox version 1.5 for Apple iOS means that users can benefit from an additional 3GB of storage as well as a new gallery mode and unlimited file size uploads (provided they are no bigger than your allocated storage). It’s also now possible to delete batches of files in one fell swoop and just like its counterpart on Android devices new instant photo uploading is introduced as a new key feature.
