Boba Fett, the most revered bounty hunter from our favourite galaxy far, far away, will become a PlayStation exclusive as part of Disney Infinity 3.0’s Star Wars Saga pack.
Disney was represented by its VP of Production John Vignocchi at the Sony press conference at E3 where he officially broke the news that the cult character and mercenary-for-hire will be bringing his skills to PS3 and PS4 in Disney Infinity’s latest update.
The new toy range and storyline in 3.0 will, at long last, focus on the Star Wars movies and the Boba Fett figure will not be available on any other platform. However, he will be available as an in-game unlockable in all versions of the Disney Infinity 3.0.
Other characters that feature as figures in the Star Wars Saga Starter Pack for Disney Infinity 3.0 include classic heroes Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia who are based on their appearance in Episode IV: A New Hope, as well as Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano from The Clone Wars animated series.
The packs also include the game software with Disney Infinity 3.0 edition base, pieces for Twilight of the Republic and Rise Against the Empire play sets and a web code card to unlock additional PC and mobile content. They will cost $114.99 and are expected to go on sale towards Christmas time.
The Force is strong with Disney and PlayStation’s alliance and PS4 / PS3 gamers who buy a Star Wars Saga Starter Pack will not only get chance to own the exclusive Boba Fett figure but they will also be able to access the new Rise Against the Empire playset a month before any other console.
Impressive. Most impressive.
