EA are preparing a big announcement for FIFA 12 at next week’s Gamescom event and will unveil the release details for the latest FIFA 12 demo.
The announcement was made via the official the FIFA twitter feed, as the creators of the famous football franchise revealed to eager gamers that it won’t be long until the demo for the game, which is released on September 30th.
“When will we announce the demo date for #FIFA12?” a spokesperson for the developer wrote on Facebook, adding “At #Gamescom – next week!”
Earlier today FIFA’s lead producer David Rutter confirmed that the FIFA 12 follow-up FIFA 13 would touch down next year with full support for Microsoft’s controller-free motion gaming peripheral Kinect. There was no mention made about a possible Playstation Move version though.
When EA formally announced FIFA 12 they proclaimed that this version would be “revolutionary not evolutionary” for the next series.
The crux of the “transformation” stems from a Player Impact Engine that EA has been beavering away at for two years.
“The Player Impact Engine processes decisions continuously in real-time at every point of contact on a player’s body to create an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every collision,” EA explained.
These physics also apply to injuries, as the game analyses “the force of the collision and impact on the body” and dolls out injuries to the offending players.
