LG Victor Renamed and Revealed as the LG Optimus Sol

It looks like LG’s previously announced LG Victor (very Transylvanian) has been rebranded and has even seen the light of day in the form of the LG Optimus Sol, which will be another big hitting handset set for European release later this year.

German website BestBoyZ has gotten hold of the device and has placed a leak video on its site ( see below) which showcases all of the design and features of the handset, though it’s a little hard to understand unless you have a good grasp of the German dialect.

The LG Optimus Sol (LG Victor) smartphone comes with a 1GHz single-core processor and a 3.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels and will be running the latest Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The Sol will also feature LG’s Optimus interface as well as sporting a 5-megapixel main camera and a secondary front-facing shooter, plus support for DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct and a rumoured colour choice of black or silver when it launches.

The handset was one of the 7 forthcoming LG handsets to be leaked back in July and will is looking set to be a mid-ranged smartphone along with the codenamed LG Prada K2, LG Univa, LG Fantasy, LG Gelato NFC, LG E2 and the LG K which is the big secret of the pack.

The handset is looking set to be released in the third quarter of this year and is also set to be available on Vodafone with a price tag of €299.
