Word has spread of a new, smaller HP tablet powered by the webOS platform, dubbed the HP Go.
A 7-inch version of the HP TouchPad has recently paid a visit to the U.S FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to be checked over and made sure it’s law abiding and such. It was approved by the FCC, meaning it’s good to receive the finishing touches and sold- yippee!
From the information gathered when the ‘Go’ tablet visited the FCC, we could see a 7-inch HP tablet running webOS 3.0 with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. 3G Radios were spotted onboard too, which means that there will be a 3G + Wi-Fi version launched – most likely in the U.S only, as the UK is yet to see a 3G + Wi-Fi version of the original TouchPad tablet.
We’ll be keeping a keen eye on the HP Go over the next couple of weeks so be sure to check back here and on our Twitter Page for the latest info.
Its bigger brother, the HP TouchPad, hasn’t been doing so well, recently receiving fairly big price cuts in the states. We’re hoping the Go will do better, as webOS 3.0 is a fantastic operating system for tablets and works extremely well.
