Google has made some changes to its darling social network, Google+, to further implement it into the huge online family of Google websites and services.
Unbeknown to most, Google has added a new option to the ‘Share’ feature for YouTube videos. Along with the usual embed codes and other share options, you’ll now see the option to “Watch with your friends. Start a Google+ Hangout”.
This feature will let you create a group of friends on Google+ to watch the YouTube video with. We could see this becoming a quick and easy way to show a video to a specific group of friends who would be interested, rather than bothering everyone by posting the link on your page.
Google have also decided to give the social networking site a little makeover, though nothing that will knock your socks off. The little red notification counter that appears at the top of your Google+ page is now animated and rolls around like a wheel counter. If your imagination isn’t too great, watch the most exciting 3 second video you’ll ever see below for a quick demo.
Google’s developers have also changed the black status bar that usually sits at the top of the Google+ page. Normally, when you scroll down the page the bar will stay put at the top. Google has realised that you want to see your notifications and such all the time, so the bar will now follow you as you scroll through pages on the social network.
