The rumour mill is in over drive for the iPhone 5 at the moment, with as little as a couple of months before the new phone arrives everyday we’re hearing new rumours – this is the latest hearsay as of today.
Newly leaked parts that have come to the attention of 9to5 mac reportedly show the new camera for the iPhone 5 – direct from the component supplier – it apparently scuppers all chances of a dual led flash.
Rumours had previously suggested that the new Apple smartphone would come with a dual LED flash but from the pictures above they lead you to believe that it will only have one LED Flash.
However it does reveal a few other juicy bits of information. From the pictures above you can clearly see the device is noticably thinner and could hint that the new phone will indeed come in a new thinner form-factor.
It’s thought that the new camera will be 8 megapixels and should allow you to record in the full 1080p. It is also hinted that the phone will come with the same A5 processor as the iPad 2.
According to an unnamed ‘high-level source’ speaking to BGR, an AT&T vice president has told his workers that Apple’s next smartphone will be launching in October, telling managers that they should “expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days.”
The October launch time scale fits with the claims that Apple will be announcing the device at an event late next month usually the preserve of iPod news. It’s thought this is when the devices will be finally be unveiled to the world.
