HTC Watch on WP7 – Movie Rentals now through the Marketplace

Following the announcement of several new HTC/WP7.5 mobiles – HTC Watch, the pay-for movie rental service, has just been launched on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

HTC Watch will allow HTC gadget owners running the new WP7.5 (and older WP7) operating system to access a library of previews and rentals of top Hollywood movies, TV shows and a selection of video media.

You can also purchase film favourites to enjoy at any time, by touching the basket and this comes in a service similar to Microsoft’s Zune, which currently caters solely for the audio side of multimedia. HTC, meaning business, look to crack into an untapped market – ahead of Nokia and Samsungs Windows Phone efforts.

HTC Watch is already available on Android –based mobiles, and complementing the release of the Taiwanese co.’s ‘Mango’ devices Titan and Radar, which were revealed at a London event last week, the movie and media rental scheme is now available on the Windows Phone Marketplace.
