You may remember back in August we told you about the upcoming Archos G9 Android Honeycomb Tablet, and perhaps after reading our article, you may have want to get your hands on one? Well, if that’s the case, you’ll be pleased to know that Archos have just announced that the G9 will be available for pre-order starting on the 20th of September.
Initially, we thought that the G9 will actually be released sometime in September, however it would now appear that the Android tablet will now actually be arriving in stores worldwide in October.
Just as a reminder, there are two versions of the G9 available to choose from; either a 10.1-inch or a 8-inch version. Both will be powered by a 1Ghz ARM Cortex A9 dual-core processor, or if you want some additional power, you can also choose to have the OMAP 4 dual-core processor rated at 1.5Ghz.
The G9 will also be equipped with various storage options, using either the more popular solid state disks or the traditional hard drive disks. Below is a list of available storage sizes and the respective pricing:
ARCHOS 80 G9 16GB SSD – 1.5 GHz at $329 (around £208)
ARCHOS 80 G9 250GB – 1.5 GHz at $369 (around £233)
ARCHOS 101 G9 16GB SSD – 1.5 GHz at $399 (around £252)
ARCHOS 101 G9 250GB – 1.5 GHz at $469 (around £296)
