Amazon App store breaks its US only chains, hits Europe, Australia and India

  • by

The biggest challenger to Google’s own Market is the controversially named Amazon App Store. The controversy comes from the fact that Apple tried to block Amazon from using the “App Store” phrase, stating that it was essentially their own (you can read more about that here).

Up until now the Amazon App store was a U.S only market place, and while you could work around this for most Android users it meant that many were unable to sample some of the bonuses of using the Amazon App Store, such as the one paid app per day that Amazon will hand-pick and offer completely free from the store.

This is now a service that most can partake in thanks to Amazon pushing it out to Europe, Australia and India. It is something I will definitely be getting my hands on.

So if you are in one of the places that can now get the Amazon App store, pop over to the Amazon website and download the Amazon App Store application, I can assure you it is something you will not regret.
