Casual games publisher Gameloft has announced it will be working on optimizing some of its titles for launch on Sony’s incoming tablet range including Sony Tablet S which in expected within the next few months.
Some previously mobile-only titles mentioned in today’s announcement include – Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD, Green Farm HD, NOVA 2, Real Soccer 2011, and Spiderman: Total Mayhem.
We saw in those earlier promotional teasers that the Sony Tablets will come Playstation certified which got us looking forward to the gaming side of the anticipated slabs. And it seems so was Gamesloft’s Senior VP of Publishing who has said “The convergence of high performance, a stunning display, and the focus on a networked device provided by Sony Tablet devices perfectly complements Gameloft’s high quality games and online multiplayer functionality.”
About optimising and making good use of the generous screen the Sony Tablet S provides he adds “The high impact of the ‘Sony Tablet S’s large display along with the unique dual screen configuration of the ‘Sony Tablet P’ truly enhances the overall entertainment value of the gaming experience.”
The Sony Tablet S is due before the end of 2011, with the ‘clam-shell’ dual-screen Tablet P expected at the start of the New Year.
