We’re less than a week away from Apple’s October 4th event, during which the company is expected to unveil to the world the iPhone 5. Or will they? Word from an Apple insider claims that, while there’s no mention of an iPhone 5, two updated iPhone 4 product codes have been added to the Apple inventory.
Speaking to 9to5Mac, the insider claims to have seen a product code for two new iPhone 4 handsets, one of which looks to have an 8GB storage capacity. This sits in line with rumours that Apple will be launching a cheaper entry-level version of the iPhone, but what of the other?
Could it be that a refined iPhone 4S, rather than an iPhone 5, is the big announcement? Only time will tell, but it’s certainly possible. The source also revealed the existence of three new iPod Touch model codes, each with different storage capacities and each coming in white. We’ll bring you more as we get it.
