Personally, I consider drops tests to provide an extremely valuable insight into how a smartphone fairs if dropped in the real world, especially when it comes to two expensive devices such as the iPhone 4S and Galaxy SII.
Now, thanks to the folk over at SquareTrade, we now have this valuable information presented to us in a nice video they have decided to take up this experiment and see just how well each handset does when dropped at various heights – I’m going to tell you now, it aint pretty.
There are three tests in total which are performed on each handset in turn, ranging from a low drop, all the way up to the big daddy – a shoulder drop.
Now I don’t want to spoil the outcome, so make sure you check out the video below to see just how well each device can handle the effects of being dropped.
Just remember though, the iPhone 4S features a glass front and back, while the Galaxy SII has a tougher Gorilla Glass display – place your bets now! (I know which one I’d pick).
