Amazon’s new Kindle fire table/eReader device is one of the most anticipated gadget releases at the moment after its initial announcement by Amazon last month, but rumours are currently circulatinh that the forthcoming Fire tablet may not even land on our shelves this yea,r and if the report is to believed not even early next year.
Tech website DigiTimes is reporting that the manufacturing company Foxconn (Famous for supplying Apple products and its regimented approach to the work environment) is not set to start the manufacturing process on the Kindle Fire’s until the first quarter of 2012.
Amazon has given vague references to when the 7-inch Android running tablet would be released, with most people hoping and expecting the device in time for Christmas 2011, but other rumours suggest that it would be out early on in 2012.
However, if production does kick in around the first quarter of 2012, then generally the earliest you can expect the Kindle Fire is March time of next year.
The Amazon Kindle Fire has a 7-inch IPS screen, dual-core processor, weighs 413g, runs Android software (but a highly customised version), will feature Wi-Fi connections only and 8GB of onboard storage. Over 100,000 Movies and TV shows, 17 million songs, 300,000 Android apps and all of Amazon’s Kindle eBooks are easily accessible through various apps and stores that will be preloaded onto the tablet.
We are excited about what the Kindle Fire can do and more excited about the pricing of the device which will coming in around $200, which is roughly £140.
