There’s a contingency among the Apple haters who are convinced that the company launches its products with missing features that could have easily made it in, just to have somewhere to go in terms of upgrades. That theory’s just been strengthened, as it turns out there’s a secret feature within the iOS 5 camera that Apple hasn’t yet gifted us…
The feature in question is a ‘Panorama’ mode, which lets users take multiple pictures in a line to then be stitched together into one continuous image. It was found by a developer, who changed a key value in the iPhone SDK (software development kit), only to see that the Panorama mode – replete with instructions – appeared in the camera settings.
It’s clear that this feature will become widely available in an update somewhere along the line, but the question on all our minds is this: Why didn’t it go live with iOS 5? Let us know your thoughts on our comments below or via our @Gadget_Helpline Twitter page or Official Facebook group.
