From today, snap-happy Android tablet owners can touch-up their beloved picture memories with Adobe’s latest software range for Honeycomb-enabled slabs, such as Motorola Xoom.
Adobe Photoshop Touch is like a lightweight version of the full-fat editing program and comes in six parts: Photoshop Touch, Adobe Collage, Adobe Ideas, Adobe Proto, Adobe Debut and Adobe Kuler – each bringing a unique tweak to our shots. Made available for iPad last month, the apps bring image manipulation on an entry level and fully optimized for tablets with use with a touchscreen of 8.9” minimum with resolution of 1280 x 800.
Adobe states “We’re very excited to announce that the Adobe Touch Apps are now available worldwide from the Android Marketplace! The Adobe Touch Apps, first debuted at Adobe MAX last month, are a family of six intuitive touch-screen applications, inspired by Adobe Creative Suite software, to bring professional-level creativity to tablet users. Capture ideas wherever creativity strikes – even sync and store them to the Adobe Creative Cloud.”
The smart selection of apps cover much of what you’d need to get photos looking their best, use layering and effects and prep photos and designs for use on the web. If an image needs a little more work, it’s simple to export to full Creative Suite on an Apple desktop Mac – or if you like what you see, your creation can be easily shared online and to the social web via the tablet and cloud internet storage.
The Adobe Photoshop Touch apps cost £6.99 for the job lot of six apps which are available now on the Android Market.
