We’ve been eagerly refreshing Sony Ericsson’s Facebook page this morning in anticipation for the FIFA ’12 Android edition to kick-off on the Xperia PLAY aka the ‘Playstation Phone’. And this just in – it’s now gone live. Score!
For a limited period FIFA ’12 for Android will be available free-of-charge and budding managers can create a team from over 500 world renowned soccer stars including Rooney and Kaka and then control their players in fast-paced matches with “vibrant graphics and ultra-realism” as well as in 360 degree movements in 32 real-life stadiums.
The Android version of the recently released and hugely popular Xbox 360 and Playstation based FIFA ’12 takes the ball (temporarily) exclusively to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia range through the Android Market and PLAY owners are the first in line to get this year’s annual footie simulator from Electronic Arts before the game rolls out onto other gadgets in the range early next year, with a full distribution on suitable Android devices set for around February.
We’ll keep an eye on the ball to bring you non-Xperia Android owners the dirt on when they can join in the fun!
