Finally, after being an Amazon App Store exclusive since May this year, popular PopCap game Plants vs Zombies is up for grabs through the Android Market itself!
Plants vs. Zombies is played by guarding you home and nipping an invasion of the undead in the bud by using a very random selection of vegetation, each with a unique method of defense. Enemies come in 26 different Zombie forms – from plain “walkers”, to bizarre variations like pole-volters and snorklers in 50 playable levels, with a few bonuses thrown in for Android owners, such as plant facts and a bonus music video.
The game is available for PC and has been on iOS based gadgets for a while, before branching out onto Android exclusively through the Amazon Appstore to limited distribution. Now Plants vs Zombies can grow beyond those constraints and be downloaded from the Android Market from today on devices running version Android version 1.5 Cupcake and above and costs just £1.92 – Yeah, the Amazon one was free. But for such a small price you get a fantastically enjoyable game!
We predict widespread infection and addiction for the millions of Android mobiles now active – maybe even giving those Angry Birds something to squawk about!
