Now, if you happen to have an iOS device such as the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, it’s quite likely you will have heard of, even perhaps used the popular camera app that is called Instagram. Currently there are around 14 million users worldwide – quite impressive for a camera app I’d say.
The popularity of the app has grown quite rapidly along with the Android OS, but as yet there is still no official Android version available. However, things may be about to change as we have heard news on the rumour mill that the developers behind Instagram may soon be venturing across to the Android OS.
The news of a possible Android version of the app comes from the folk over at In Flex We Trust who apparently had a notification on their Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 regarding the app. Although whats not clear is how this notification appeared. The news circulating the rumour mill though suggests that the Instagram app is currently in the process of being submitted to the Android Market.
The developers haven’t officially said anything – but that doesn’t mean it wont be happening. We’re hoping that it will turn out to be an accurate rumour, although I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the mean time if we get any further info, you can be assured we’ll let you know.
