Nokia Lumia 910 Windows Phone Unofficially Confirmed for Europe – MWC Appearance Expected?

  • by

Speculation seems to suggest that we Brits will not be getting to play with the upcoming super sibling to Nokia’s Lumia 800 Windows Phone and that the Lumia 900 will be released a US-only exclusive. This leaves us wondering – What about us?

Until now all we had to go on was rumour-mongering from the likes of Nokia-antagonising tweetard Eldar Murtazin, who speculated that Europe will in fact not be getting the Lumia 900 – but instead an even more powerful version called the Lumia 910. Nokia have yet to confirm this, but they’re also yet to deny it. And we’d be hard-pressed not to believe such rumours after what an Amazon seller recently put up for sale.

Appearing on the online retail site / car boot sale from a vendor called “invisibledefenders” is a Protective Decal Skin Sticker – a wood effect vinyl label which can be applied to protect the precious surface of our mobile gadgets from scuffs and minor scratches.  However, what the item does is beside the point. The point is what gadget this item is intended to be applied on. The description goes onto read “for Nokia Lumia 910 & AT&T Lumia 900”. There’s that name again, pretty much confirming what Nokia has been reluctant to confirm itself.

Said to feature similar spec to the Nokia 900, the mysterious 910 model should come with a similar 4.3” display and a powerful battery capacity which supports all of its advancements on the 800. Windows Phone 7.5 running off a 1.4GHz Qualcomm CPU with 512MB of onboard RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Lumia 910 is also rumoured to benefit from a more advanced 12-megapixel camera.

With the Mobile World Congress just around the corner, not literally – but in Barcelona on February 27th to March 1st, our excitement is now at fever pitch to see the big things ahead for the Nokia Lumia Windows Phone range in the United Kingdom.
