HTC promised “something fast” would be arriving in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress which kick-started yesterday and they certainly delivered with its new quad-core flagship model mobile the HTC One X. Details of the super-smartphone’s release date or pricing has been left to the imagination since the gadget’s announcement but Amazon UK may have shined some light on this subject.
The online department store / car boot sale, Amazon, is now offering up some information on the arrival of the heavyweight handset which clocks in with a 1.5GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor running things, a 4.7” Super LCD HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a sensitive 8-megapixel camera and a new version 4.0 of HTC’s Sense User Interface complimenting newest Android, also 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. The former HTC Edge also features some Beats Audio flavour for the music lovers.
Amazon suggests that shipping will begin from April 5th and the HTC One X is already available for pre-order with a price listed asking price coming in at £529 of your British Pounds. That’s actually quite a bit more than Expansys put their model of the HTC’s latest up for in cool “Polar White” finish – that etailer undercuts Amazon by £30.
The HTC One X is part of an impressive MWC line-up which also showcased the dual-core duo, the One S and One V.
