The anticipation for Assassin’s Creed III just hit fever pitch, after the game’s developer Ubisoft uploaded the cover art for the game, sparking an epic guessing game among fans.
We already know that the third Assassin’s Creed title will hit store shelves on October 30th this year, but until now details on the game were vague. Though it’s just cover art, what you see above this article actually gives away a fair amount about the plot, setting and main character in the game. For starters the main character appears to be a different fellow from the previous titles, and he has his hand on the throat of a red-coated British soldier, giving us a clue to when the game is set.
Behind our hero we see American and English colonial-era soldiers wielding muskets, and in the foreground a pistol that looks to be from the same era. Ubisoft has teased by promising more details on Assassin’s Creed III on Monday.
BioShock Infinite, Incoming
After four painstaking years in development and several teasers, Irrational Games has finally revealed a launch date for BioShock Infinite – ladies and gentlemen, mark October 19th in your diaries. Infinite joins Assassin’s Creed III in what is sure to be a hectic month for gamers, and can’t come soon enough as far as we’re concerned.
As we’ve seen in a previous trailer, Infinite takes the BioShock series in a completely new direction, leaving behind the underwater theme and taking to the skies. The game is set in a fictional 20th century American flying city known as Columbia, and is said to be inspired by the recent Occupy Wall Street and other such movements.
Sony has also confirmed that the PS3 version of the game will ship with the original BioShock game on Blu-Ray disc. How’s about that!
Rayman 3 HD Trailer Launched
Everyone’s favourite lum-lover, Rayman, has returned in a new trailer for Rayman 3 HD. The new title will hit the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade later this month on the 21st.
The trailer shows a variety of power-ups that Rayman can collect throughout the game including Vortex, which allows you unleash mini-whirlwinds on your enemies. Our favourite is definitely ‘Lock Jaw’ which gives you a grappling hook and a bite attack. Check it out for yourself below.
