Virgin Media’s TiVo digital television recording system has now introduced a “Red Button” feature allowing subscribers to benefit from a wide range of interactive guides and expanding the telly addiction to a whole new dimension. The service will be kicking-off by delivering exciting content to Sky Sports and Sky Sports HD customers.
As well as recording all the top telly in high quality video through the Virgin Media extra, TiVo will provide footy fans with live player cam views, multiple angles, match highlight reels and all the premier league goals – just like those lucky Sky subscribers have been enjoying for a while now. Formula One racing and rugby will join the soccer and provide extras to benefit fans of many of the sports the family of channels currently has to offer. And of course this year we have the Euro 2012 tournament to look forward to, as well as the Olympic Games from London. This upgrade to TiVo from Virgin Media couldn’t come at a better time.
Virgin’s Simon Hunt said “With so much excitement building for the biggest sporting events this year, we know our customers are going to love the extra dimension these interactive services will bring.”
More channels are expected to join the TiVo “Red Button” service in the coming months.
