HTC Takes New Android ICS Line-up on World Tour – Quad-core HTC One X on the Loose!

Taiwan-based mobile maker HTC has announced its plan to take its new Ones on a round trip of a number big global cities, showing off the impressive quad-core HTC One X and its siblings One S, One V and One XL.

The world tour will showcase the newly re-branded One range from HTC which was shown off at the Mobile World Congress a few weeks ago and will offer a hands-on try out of the latest gadgets, and the One we all want to get to grips with – the One X. Powered by NVIDIA’s 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor and boasting a generous 4.7” qHD touchscreen, the One X features Android upgrade 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’ll be the first of the HTC line up to be complimented by the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface.

The HTC One X (for Xtreme Performance) will be be joined by the HTC One S (standing for Slim) which comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core motor, 4.3” Super AMOLED touchscreen display and also runs Android’s newest update.

Along for the ride is the HTC One V, a lower end model with 1GHz single-core CPU, 3.7” screen optimised for music with Beats audio features. The HTC XL completes the line-up, previously believed to become a tablet (XL meaning Xtra Large), actually turned out to be a “minimalist” entertainment based smartphone with 4.7” display and super-fast LTE (4G) connectivity (where available).

The HTC One series will visit Seattle, New York, Miami, San Paolo, London, Rome, New Delhi, Bangkok and Jakarta – with dates and venues to be announced soon. The Gadget Helpline will endeavour to update this information as soon as news breaks!
