It may be one day behind schedule, but Samsung Galaxy II owning Vodafone customers in the U.K have begun receiving their serving of the latest and greatest Android OS, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – originally promised on Thursday 12th April.
Following other leading networks including O2 and Three, Vodafone last week stated that Android 4.0 has been approved after a rigorous testing period and patient SGSII users should have been able to get the official software yesterday, but the network was not forthcoming with the update, leaving some customers scratching their heads. Some bootlegging has been available up until now through developer websites, but the patient few have today been rewarded with the official wares.
Orange and T-Mobile customers seem to still be waiting, but the Gadget Helpline will tip you off as to when notifications start rolling out ahead for your network and you too can enjoy the tasty treats provided by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich!
