Spotify users running the tasty new Android OS update – 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – will soon benefit from a redesigned and fully optimised new interface and a bunch of new features to make the streaming experience that much sweeter.
The newly updated Spotify app features a “top to bottom” redesigned UI which boasts new ICS flavoured icons, enhancements to the visuals that really will make the most of 720p HD resolution with artist information and photos, social features and a slide out navigation bar which arrive on the mobile platform for the first time.
Spotify has been showing off the overhauled app which will soon be gracing gadgets such as Android launch partner the Samsung Galaxy Nexus as well as newcomers the HTC One X and One S and Sony’s offerings the Xperia S, U and P. more exciting features are set to be added before the app becomes officially available, but for those who want to try out the new ICS improved Spotify today can do so with a downloadable preview pack, by allowing installations from “Unknown Sources” in the Application menu of their Android device, then simply hop over to the Spotify website and start streaming!
