LG is making its presence known in the smartphone market, by taking some of our pocket gadgets’ most popular features – for example the added dimension of the LG Optimus 3D and the quad-core processing power of the LG Optimus 4X. The latest in the LG line-up has just touched down in Europe and benefits from both stunning True HD visuals and support for the LTE or 4G networks. Its title, quite suitably, is the LG Optimus True HD LTE.
Boasting a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU the newest LG Optimus model shows off its sharp 1280 x 720p high definition graphics on a generous 4.5” touchscreen display and features a respectable 8-megapixel camera. Somewhat disappointly, but not enough to completely ruin the appeal, is the fact that this one ships with the now outdated Android 2.3 Gingerbread which can be and will be updated to brand new version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future.
The LG Optimus True HD has already arrived in a number of countries which have already been benefiting from the super-fast 4G/LTE mobile data connection, which is now beginning to come into effect in Germany were this new device has just landed, along with its lucky European neighbours in Sweden and Portugal. Once U.K networks and Ofcom can decide on who gets what share of our 4G space we’ll hopefully see this one pop up for sale over here.
