Yesterday it was announced that RIM has a little social number heading onto the mid-to-lower range mobile market this May. Aimed at the youth crowd, the BlackBerry Curve 9320 features basic BlackBerry functions and familiar quick-texting QWERTY keyboard, preloaded Facebook and Twitter apps, as well as a dedicated BBM button (BlackBerry Messenger).
Since the go-getting gadget’s reveal a number of our mobile networks have released their payment schemes and pay-as-you-go deals on the new BlackBerry Curve 9320. Firstly arriving on the O2 network from today the teen-friendly smartphone will land free of charge on contracts starting at just £13 per month with a 24 month commitment or £18.50 for just 18-months. This fee will award new owners 500 call-time minutes, 250 texts and 100MB of data allowance throughout the month. For a SIM-free model Curve 9320 you’re looking at a reasonable £149.99.
Moving over to Three, the BlackBerry Curve 9320 launches on May 14th starting on a £15 per month tariff offering 100 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data over the 3G network. The handset again is free here, but can also be bought for £139.99 on an “All-in-One” deal which brings along 30-days unlimited internet access, 300 minutes, and 3,000 texts for £15 a month. Upping this to £25 gains an additional 200 minutes, with the same amount of texts and data allowance.
Orange and T-Mobile have also stated that they will be releasing the BlackBerry Curve 9320 on their networks but the details at present are a little vague on both accounts. With Orange simply saying it’ll be available on contracts costing £10.50 per month over 24 months and for £139.99 for a PAYG model. T-Mobile on the other hand offers the Curve on fees of £15.50 upwards for two years loyalty and for £149.99 PAYG.
Both networks are yet to confirm a shipping date and Vodafone are yet to offer any details at all on their plans for the BlackBerry Curve 9320, but as always the Gadget Helpline will attempt to keep this information up-to-date for our readers.
