After a struggle with U.S Customs and a promising update yesterday, regarding a pair of HTC gadgets which apparently upset Apple patent copyrights, one of the handsets – the HTC EVO 4G LTE – has now successfully passed inspections and could make its way onto the country’s Sprint network in time for this weekend.
Sprint excitedly reports “Customers who pre-ordered HTC EVO 4G LTE…Your wait is almost over! Sprint expects to begin shipping HTC EVO 4G LTE for arrival on or around Thursday, May 24 to customers who pre-ordered the device online from Sprint. We will provide details on the full national launch as soon as possible. To access the latest news and device information, visit our Sprint Community page where we’ll be providing regular updates. To check the status of your pre-order, please visit www.sprint.com/myorder”
The fate of the HTC EVO 4G LTE’s Android ICS travel buddy the quad-core HTC One X is still yet to be decided, but with one through already through the gate this makes for some pleasing news for HTC who are surely looking to keep up its impressive roll out following a positive response in the U.K.
