Samsung may have just launched its Big Daddy into the smartphone arena with the Galaxy SIII but for those who want to carry the Galaxy name but aren’t too fussed about owning the fastest gadget with the sharpest Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the Korean’s have also just let loose a middleweight contender that features respectable specifications suited to the casual smartphone user. The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is now available SIM-free through Unlocked-Mobiles.com.
Raising the pace from last season’s Ace which was released in March 2011, Samsung delivers dual-core processing at 800MHz on a handset which includes a reasonable 3.8” 400×800 pixel touchscreen display and 4GB internal storage with Micro SD support up to 32GB available. The rear-facing camera packs 5-megapixels with autofocus and LED flash and allows for 1080p HD video recording and output.
As for the software, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 runs previous Android standard 2.3 Gingerbread and features easy to access Samsung flavoured social, games and music hubs. Speaking of entertainment, this mid-range Galaxy gadget comes with FM Radio tuning and MP3 player which can be heard on the move through the supplied Samsung branded stereo headphones and for connection this one hooks up to 3G networks, Wi-Fi and has Bluetooth capability.
