Countdown to E3 2012: New Star Wars Game Teased by Spike TV

The annual E3 gaming and entertainment expo is little over a week away. Beginning on Tuesday the 5th and running until Thursday the 7th of June, the Gadget Helpline will be covering the top stories from the likes of Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony as well as a number of the anticipated and newly announced hardware and software products through-out the 3-day event in our special Gaming Daily articles.

To get you warmed up for the E3 we’ll be covering many of the teasers and pre-show leaks leading in to next week’s show – starting with some exciting Star Wars related news!

U.S telly network Spike TV has sent out a press release inviting wannabe Jedi to check out a special edition of its GameTrailers TV on May 31st ahead of the E3 conference – suggesting there will be something of significant interest to Saga fans regarding a future gaming project. An exclusive look at the secretive LucasArt title set in our favourite Galaxy Far, Far Away which will follow the most recent title – the popular MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Where or when this new expansion on the epic-scale Saga will take us or which familiar characters might surface is anybody’s guess right now but our hopes are aimed high after the host of the GameTrailers TV show says “I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new ‘Star Wars’ title” adding “I can’t wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it.”

Hard to foresee, the future is – but all will be revealed a little earlier than the E3 expo and hopefully we’ll get to see whatever it is in full detail from the Los Angeles event from next Tuesday!
